At the Geneva Motor Show, Skoda presented an “off-road” version of the updated Fabia station wagon, which received the traditional name Scout. The restyled car has new bumpers, a different radiator grille, modified headlights and taillights. Just like its predecessor, the Scout received a plastic body kit that protects the body from scratches and damage. In the range of engines of the updated Fabia family cars, the old naturally aspirated units of 1.4 and 1.6 liters have been replaced by 1.2-liter petrol fours with direct fuel injection. The most affordable car will be equipped with a 60-horsepower engine. The most powerful unit in the family will be a 105-horsepower unit, which can be paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches or with a conventional “mechanics”. In Europe, the new product will also be available with 1.6-liter diesel engines with 90 and 105 horsepower.
