A popular compact car on the market since 1999. A total of 1,788,063 first-generation Fabias and another 1,211,937 second-generation Skoda Fabias are still in production. Skoda Fabia, together with Octavia, is one of the most successful Czech car models. In 2011, total customer deliveries increased by more than 16% to 267,000 Fabia vehicles. This model thus represents more than a quarter of the brand's global sales. The Skoda Fabia is currently manufactured in China, Russia and India and sold in 103 countries around the world. Since 2007, Skoda has made this small car in the GreenLine environmental version. Thanks to technological innovations such as the start-stop system and the brake energy recovery system, the Fabia GreenLine consumes just 3.4 liters of diesel per 100 kilometres. In both hatchback and estate versions, the Fabia is often an attractive model. In 2011, the Skoda Fabia Sport Monte Carlo appeared on the market as a reference to its success in motorsport. The first generation Fabia was introduced in 1999 and was produced for eight years. The second generation was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007. In April 2007, the first car was launched in a hatchback version, and then a station wagon. Both bodies of these versions underwent extensive modernization at the beginning of 2010.
